Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the meat industry.
One of our clients wants to add a robust Quality Assurance Supervisor to their team.
Responsibilities include:
1) Oversee implementation of the company's food safety and quality management system to ensure food product integrity and compliance with specifications, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, USDA regulatory and customer standards2) Liaise with the USDA, maintenance, production, plant management and contracted service providers3) Mentor and coach plant personnel as a form of training and continuous improvement4) Play a significant role in new product development, validation and implementation5) Complete projects for progression or as assigned by the QA Director with minimal supervision.
6) Troubleshoot technical issues related to food safety and quality7) Oversee pre-operational sanitation inspection.
8) Complete and develop reports using Microsoft Office9) Initiate USDA Sketch approvals involving animal production and product quality claims.
10) Delegate tasks to QA Technician and follow up to ensure that they have been properly completed11) Manage QA Technician scheduling, including personal time off and unscheduled absencesCritical Requirements1) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)2) Recent experience in the meat industry is strongly preferred3) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality assurance supervisionIf you are qualified and aspire to work for an excellent, established company whose employees believe in teamwork and make great contributions to the industry, this could be a golden opportunity for you.
